Overweight and obesity are risk factors for many health problems such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, joint problems, and gallstones, among other conditions. A data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), 2013–2014 shows more than 2 in 3 adults were considered to be overweight or have obesity & about 1 in 6 children adolescents ages 2 to 19 were considered to have obesity. The increasing prevalence of obesity over the last 2 decades has generated considerable concerns about its health burdens. It is frequently stated in scientific and lay literature that obesity causes about 300 000 deaths per year in the United States. It was proposed that obesity is second one to smoking as a preventable cause of death

The major causes of death, illness and disability in which diet and nutrition play an important role include coronary heart disease, stroke, hypertension, atherosclerosis, obesity, some forms of cancer, Type 2 diabetes, dental caries, osteoporosis, gall bladder and nutritional anaemia.

The meeting will permit the exchange of ideas and knowledge between the different disciplines for facilitating research and clinical interdisciplinary collaborations focusing on health problems & dealing of the risk factor related to nutrition. Nutrition & Healthcare is intended to provide a special platform for clinical nutritionists, registered dieticians, and other health-care experts, researchers and students working in the arena to deliberately exchange opinions and their understandings in front of large transnational listeners.

The 9th International Congress on Nutrition & Health organized by Conference Series was held in Berlin, Germany during Feb 20-21, 2017.
